Latest D20PRO Version – 3.6.6 Release
ByHey everyone,
We are happy and very excited to announce the 3.6.6 release of D20PRO! This is a major update from the 3.4/3.5 line. There are a large number of new features, most notably Shadow Casting. This feature lets GMs set lights, shadows, and obstructed lines-of-sight, perfect for exploring dungeons, caves, and other encounters where something might be lurking just beyond the feeble reach of the adventurers’ torches…
We’ve also include new dice types inside the Core Dice: the d30 and Advantage/Disadvantage (as a precursor for the upcoming 5E support). Several GM game tools have been reorganized for a slightly cleaner presentation to work with the new Shadow Casting features.
As with most new versions, it is very strongly suggested that you backup any existing games you have prior to installing and using the new version. Likewise, please send us your feedback, suggestions and any bugs or issues you might have or find. You can use the forums or the web contact page.
To get the new version please visit the Get D20PRO page.
There is also a really nice Dev blog post by Mesa Mundi’s CEO, Tobias (Owlbear), that discusses in-depth Shadowcasting, the other new features, and how to use them. You can find that at Shadow Casting Feature Release.
If you are looking for release notes, you can find those in the .txt file in your install dir or you can also find them here.
